Extra info : Ummmm Dunno what to write here.... I have no PHDs I am hoping to eventually get one in Egyptology, But for now I am satisfied to be studying at an undergrad level. Specialists in learning disabilities don't often impress me. I find the 'science' of many such issues lacking in evidence. I find the history of human beings interesting as the need for 'normal' and 'other' has existed since.... The ice age when modern man lived side by side with neanderthalensis. Who was rather different. Once again, science claimed a difference between people related to gender and claimed women to be less able than men. As the glass ceiling has been shattering for some time now. I would have to say this is another scientific myth. Then there was the difference related to color. In which science claimed people of african decent were less intelligent and in some cases less human than white people. Today once again, it is very clear, that the pigmentation of one's skin in no way affects ones intelligence. The races are equal. Of course even calling them races is not correct as race is entirely a social construct. It has nothing to do with skin color. Then, there was Hitler 'science', equally as dubious, and equally as erronious claiming the superiority of aryan race, in all ways including that of intellectual ability. Today, they have ADHD. It seems when one truly reads (Or lives with the uhhh "afliction" or "disease,")what little is known about it and or agreed on by the 'experts' is still open to alot of speculation and debate. It appears, the very 'concrete' scientific standards remain based on human opinions and are in truth nothing more than subjective. Is it really worth polluting one's child's still developing brain, to placate a few alledged scientists dealing in speculation? What are the risks? They don't know. They have limited to no understanding of how these mind altering medications even work. This understanding appears to be equal to that of the one they claim to have of ADHD. Could this be another good old McCarthy meets Salem village witch hunt? I'll tell ya one thing, the experts can't answer that question or really any others with concrete answers when it comes to ADHD. They are so clearly knowledgeable on the subject that they seem to forget we are human beings. We have thoughts and feelings. We know when we are being condescended to. We don't apreciate it anymore than anyone 'normal' would. If i look like a lab rat to anyone designed for running mazes designed for lesser intelligent creatures, then science and the experts need their eyes examined.
