Subject: math program for mixed elementary group
I need help finding a math program for a group of 6 elementary LD students. I have one 1st grader, one 2nd grader, one 3rd grader, and 4 5th graders working on several different levels. We are using the homeschool Saxon program but it is very difficult. Only 2 of the students are able to work at all independently. I have thought about Math U See but now I am not seeing how it would work on all of these levels. I'm about to pull my hair out! Are there any good computer math programs?

Funbrain.com is quite cute, but it is a review vs really teaching anything as are most of the computer/online type programs. If you were really disciplined you might be able to learn something in some computer program, though I don't think math would work terrible well as it requires some concrete experience that you just can't get ala computer programs.
You might do best trying to group the students and then working that way with computer work (I see Quarter Mile Math recommended a lot) or funbrain, etc (good resources on Sue's page www.resourceroom.net).
You can then teach the concepts in small groups then go on and have the kids practice using the computer and online resources.

You will find some free graphics on the DotMath for kids web site that will work for math students k-5 and in a format that will let them work at differnt levels. The site is at
