Subject: Work issue-Looking for assitive technology/software
Hi everyone,
I am looking for software that can help me edit electronic microsoft word documents at work which is compatible with microsoft office 2000.
My offfice is short-staffed and there just is not that many people around who can help me edit my work. the problem is that I skip words in documents and the spell checker on my computer doesn't pick up on it.
I have short-term memory problem. I think my problem is that I can't type as fast as I think. If I stop and go back to fix stuff, I lose my train of thought and can't remember enough to complete the thought/sentance. Futhermore when I go to edit it, I read it as I meant to write it - It always looks perfect to me :)
I have even tried speech software (which helps people who are blind), but I found it found it too distracting.
I distibute policy & legislative updates a for non-profit organization. My work has a small audience nation-wide and my superviors are a bit fustrated with me. If anyone knows of anything that that might help, let me know.
Thanks so much
