LD and Aspergers

Hi

My 7 yr old son was diagnosed with As last year. He is in the 2nd grade and is struggling with reading. He is L. handed and reverses letters and numbers consistently, The last thing I want to do is to "assign another disability to him" He is falling further and further behind. LD and aspegers symptoms seem similuar. though they are completly different. Is anyone else having this problem, where would I take him for testing? I woould welcome any advice and am grateful to all who respond.
