Hmmm.... wonder how those folks would feel if a few wheelbarrows of dirt from that neighborhood kept appearing in their office landscaping? Ma;ybe they'd feel a little differently about the exposure risks (or maybe not, who knows...)

This actually falls in line with previous poor choices, such as the piles of mine waste in OK which are allowing lead dust to blanket areas of several communities (Tar Creek) or the hazardous waste incinerator placed on the banks of the Ohio River directly across from an elementary school (WTI).

I am not suprised that some business men would be chose increasing profits over being good neighbors or that certain politicians or regulators would rubber stamp the matter in the name of economic development/stability.

The wonder is not that 13-16% of American children are Sped students. The wonder is that ONLY 13-16% of American children are Sped studetnts.

Yea, until you consider the generally low expectations... and that the price for recognizing it would be admitting it. Sorta like a few hundred other huge issues.

You are of course correct - admission the problem is there is the first step towards correcting the problem.

So why is it we the herd continue to allow assinine and destructive problems like this to continue?
