Hi,

I am still very new to this site and feel that I have hit the jack pot with all the great info provided here.

Just wondering if there are any other equally good sites for similar information.

Thanks,
Joan

I don't think so :=) If you wander through LD InDepth, you will have enough info to know more than many "expert" teachers (and all of the inexpert ones :-))

HOnestly, this is the one that's been around and actively (they even hired me for a while thru a grant) gone after articles and information to provide an online library.

Other folks will share some good ones, I'm sure... but some that I know about are www.schwablearning.org which has a parenting perspective , ... hmmm... and my site ( http://www.resourceroom.net ) where I've got assorted lists of links, such as this group about reading;

*The Reading Genie
http://www.auburn.edu/~murraba/
Great information and teaching ideas for reading and phonemic awareness and fluency. The home page of an instructor of future reading teachers, this may be the link I refer the most people to.
* NCLD Summit '99:
http://www.ldonline.org/ld_indepth/reading/ncld_summit99.html
Summary of research findings from NCLD and NIH and OSEP on reading.
* National Center for Learning Disabilities: Research News
http://www.ncld.org/theirworld/lyon98.html Collection of research articles, many about reading.

I have tons of reading sites bookmarked, but as Sue said, this is definitely the most comprehensive LD site.
