Subject: Alternative remedies for ADD

I'm new here. My 8yr old son has just been diagnosed with ADD. He does have modifications in school, but is still below in Reading,Math,Spelling/Writing. I'm hesitant to give him any medication, and am looking for alternatives. Has anyone has success with any herbal remedies or anything else out there?

Hi Andie21,
I just wonder whether this all reflects an underlying difficulty? Where I can't help but wonder about his Visualisation skills?
If you haven't learnt how to use Visual Recall, it makes spelling, writing, maths extremely difficult.
Perhaps you could simply ask him if can picture Numbers, Letters, Words in his mind?
