Document, Document, Document

You can request an IEP meeting at any time, if you think the program needs review or changing.

You may also want to get a second opinion on his dx and meds. This could help to see if there is more than just ADHD behaviors going on. Some kids, even with just ADHD, don't do well on the meds prescribed for ADHD. It can improve cognition and academic preformance but may cause other behavioral issues.

I also recommend that you read From Emotions to Advocacy by Pete and Pam Wright. Its an excellent book on how to understand the system, work with staff and organize documentation. http://www.wrightslaw.com
