1. How do i go about getting a dyslexia trained person to work with my son in school at schools exspense?
You need an IEP. There's a great Web site at http://www.wrightslaw.com/
2. How can his testing results from one school to another school be so far off from each other? They were the same tests done at both school.
You want a multidisciplinary evaluation done by a psychologist you hire. The school psychologists may be good, but they still answer to the school. Also, the same tests cannot be performed less than one year apart. The school must take into consideration the testing performed by another psychologist.
3. How can his results be so many levels apart? Second grade level to a sixth grade level?
When a child has a learning disability, this disparity exists. If it doesn't, s/he may have other issues (e.g., low intelligence), but is not learning disabled.
