Subject: Falsification of testing
In June 2007, we requested and gave consent for our son to be reevaluated for speech and language. Shortly thereafter I began to request test scores to no avail, as well his doctor did to no avail. A full comprehensive report with tests given was reported at an IEP meeting and the same report given to us.
A week ago, we were notified that the speech and language personnel who was supposed to administer the testing never formally tested our son!
We don't want the school to test him, as our trust has been violated and we have no confidence in them administering tests that will provide a meaningful measure.
We want compensatory services
We want an independent evaluation of our choice
Does this seem to be an uphill fight?
Thanks

It can be but if you have proof that the testing was falsified then you should have a lot less difficulty getting new, independent testing.

Also ask your question at http://millermom.proboards107.com
we have some pretty good people who are very familiar with Sped Ed laws and can advise you on this.
