Subject: different meds?

My son was diagnosed with adhd in November. Our doctor has him on Adderall XR, but Jeff's moods are taxing out our family. I've heard and read that Concerta tends to last longer without the moodiness and emotional roller coaster. Any thoughts?

We did not find any difference in moods or behavior between using Adderall or Concerta. My ds, who has ADD, didn't like either med as they caused him to feel angry often, effected his appetite too much and he had a lot of difficulty sleeping.

My sis, who has ADHD, can only take Ritalin without problems. All other stimulants have caused significant problems for her.

I would be sure to check with your doctor, perhaps they can help with this issue.

There are so many other meds out there that can be given to your son. Just ask your doctors and voice all of your concerns.
Good Luck
