Subject: Study on Learning Styles, Free Tutoring or $25 Stipend
Research study seeks children between the ages of 9-14 with learning disabilities.
Location:
Greater Boston Area
Eligibility:
Children ages 9-14, with AD/HD, Autism, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and/or Tourette's Syndrome. Other learners who have significant difficulty focusing for extended periods may also be eligible to participate.
Purpose:
The purpose of the study is to investigate a new technique for keeping children with different types of disabilities on task in the classroom.
Commitment:
Participants will be asked to play either a word formation or arithmetic video game based on the popular video game Tetris. The time commitment is 1 hour over two separate 1/2 hour sessions.
Benefits:
In exchange for participation, families have the choice of receiving ether a $25 stipend or two hours of academic tutoring.
