Maryanne Wolf is the Director of the Center for Reading and Language Research at Tufts University and a Professor of Child Development in the Eliot-Pearson Department of Child Development. She received her doctorate from Harvard University in the Department of Human Development and Psychology in the Graduate School of Education, where she began her work on the neurological underpinnings of reading, language, and dyslexia. She recently received the Marek Award from the New York International Dyslexia Association for best book on reading. She edited a book, Dyslexia, Fluency, and the Brain and is the author of Proust and the Squid: The Story and Science of the Reading Brain.

And how long did she suffer from dyslexia or some other form of learning disability that made language hard for her?

I suspect not a day in her life. So what colleges she went ot and what pieces of paper she holds, are from studying a group of ppl as objects. Sorry but i can't imagine there is much of relevance to be learned from such a perspective myself. I think i would rather pay a dyslexic person $99 to tell me about themselves and what works best for them. Thank you anyway.

You know kiddies, they make money researching us as objects. Every year i got tested twice took up hours and hours of my time and wasn't fun. Do you know how much money they offered me for my service to their research??? Not a single penny. And now they charge $99 for me to go hear what they have learned studying ppl like me and including me who they systematically like numbered and studied, and used... (sound like anything??? Yes i am just fgreatful they never tattooed my number on my arm.) And after offering me nothing for my service and making it harder for me to get a job and made it impossible for me to demand equal pay from my job, these jokers advertise to people what they have learned from objectifying human beings and they want me and anyone else seeing the advertisement to pay them $99 to go hear it.... Ludicrously outrageou..... Maybe i should be sueing the medical professionals talking about me for royalties? Or better yet slander comparing my intellectual capacity so frequently to that of an animal.... Wouold definately wake some folks up hahahaha.... I just don't get it, maybe i missed something? But i feel taken advantage of and abused.posting an add on a page so that parents of dyslexics and adult dyslexics many of who were used by science most harshly can pay all that money when we charged not a dime to be dehumanized by the research... I am just.... in shock.... If it weren't so vile a concept, i think i would be laughing myself to illness in amusement at the ridiculousness.
