Mystery diagnosis

The problem seems to be a language processing disorder, where I can't retain anything that I read or I hear for more than I few seconds. I remember bits and pieces, but that is all. I would like to find a diagnosis so that I can find a way to learn with the disability, and have been unable to find a diagnosis that fits. Can anyone help me?
