I was diagnosed with LD in adulthood. If you need more details, please let me know exactly what you want to know (you probably don't need my life story)

Hi, I'm new to the site. Is anyone from Chicago,il? I just turned 40. I was tested and diganosed with many LD' READING COMP, MATH SKILLS VISUAL-SPATIAL PROCEDDING, BOTH VISUAL AND AUDITORY PROCESSING PROMBLEMS. I started struggling in 4th grade and had many tutors over the years and that didn't help. I barely graduated from h.s and was twice academically suspended from college. Thanks for taking the time to read this and hope to hear from you soon.

Before I say anything I will start with this caveat: Doctors suck!

When you research the data on ADD and LD adult dx you will probably find that most who get that dx are women 40+.

It's a given that women are nuts anyway. We are not allowed to say that but it is a fact. Add the current hormone imbalance epidemic and you will have all sorts of impaired brain function. An MD will dope them up on Paxil and they will be tolerable to their hubbies and they will complain less but they will still be as scatter-brained. Scatter brained is much a more accurate description than ADD.

Today most women are either estrogen dominant or have Female Androgen Deficiency Syndrome or both. Both are easily cured.

ADD is real in maybe 2% of the cases. It probably is something on the autism spectrum. We can thank our sucky MDs for the autism epidemic and dangerous and overpriced health care system for autistic kids.

If you want to do a meaningful study find the gender of the subjects and age. I bet most are 40's fat and female. You will find adrenal problems and pre diabetes as well.

Today MD do not diagnose or treat the whole person. They treat symptoms and body parts. They make more money that way because managing a disease or disorder is far more profitable than curing it.
