Does anyone have any feedback they can give with regard to the Lindamood Bell V/V program? I have a 11 year old with NVLD. His struggles with math reasoning, writing and general comprehension issues. He has been in V/V for over a year and I'm not sure that this program is targeting his needs. Both our neuropsychologist and the Lindamood Bell program director have recommended this program to address these needs. I'm not so sure I'm seeing the effects. Thanks for your feedback.

Hi Bap,
I can see why they would recommend V/V, as it helps develop 'mental concept imagery'. Which is a difficulty associated with NVLD.
Though with NVLDers, it's not just a case of more practice and they will be able to learn how to do it.
As it's a functional problem, that prevents them developing mental concept imagery. So practice wont help, if they don't have the 'mental tools' to do it.
Bap, you might like to try out some 'mind-mapping' software, where 'concept imagery' is created on the screen rather than in the mind?
Here's a link to a program, that you can download and try out for free for 30 days, to see if it's helpful?
