Dear NUCC -
Without knowing more about her specific profile, it is difficult to make recommendations.
Does she struggle with reading? What apsects of reading: phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, comprehsnion?
Does she have dysgraphia -- difficulty with written expression? What aspects of dysgraphia -- pencil grip, motor skills, grammar mechanics, spelling?
Dose she have dyscalculia -- difficulty with math?
Does she have difficulty with memory? Short term and/or long term memory?
Are there auditory or visual processing issues?
All of these factors would coorelate into what might be beneficial and useful. What did the psychologist recommend and why?
In the interim, here are some articles that might be of value: http://delicious.com/dhfl143/AT

Best wishes.
