I am currently working on my certification to be a teacher of students with learning disabilities, and I need to interview a parent of a student with a learning disability. I am required to identify a family with a child with a disability and arrange an opportunity to listen to their family experiences and concerns. The interview will cover the following areas: characteristics, interaction, functions, life cycle, family strengths, family preferences, family needs, and collaborative strategies.
