freshman english curriculum

Hi,

My background is teaching elementary Wilson groups. This year, I got a new job teaching special education freshman English. Any resources or input you might have would be great.

Specifically, we are starting "Of Mice and Men" next week. Any ideas of modifications, activities or resources would be great.
