Subject: New Summer Program for Dyslexics in Wyoming

Announcement:The Shoshone Summer Program will be offering a six week academic program for dyslexic students ages 9-16 yrs. in Cody, WY this summer (June 18-June 28). Each student will receive one hr. of daily 1:1 reading instruction with a trained and experienced Orton-Gillingham tutor, one hr. of group math instruction, and one hr. of supervised study. In addition, the program will sponsor at least one supervised recreational activity each week. Our plans include activities such as hiking, fishing (we have nearby access to a blue ribbon trout stream), barbeques, roller skating, bowling, a trip to a waterpark, and of course a night at the local Cody Rodeo.Families from outside the Cody, WY area may want to explore the possibilities of securing local accomodations so that their children can attend the Shoshone Summer Program. Cody, WY is set in a beautiful location only 30 miles from the east entrance of Yellowstone Park. Accomodations in the area range from motels in town to cabin rentals and guest ranches out in the countryside.Cost of the program is $1,700 (tuition/materials) for the entire six week program. There will be seperate sessions for younger and older students. Younger students will attend classes 8am-11am while older students will attend 12-3pm.Shoshone Summer Program is sponsored by the Breteche Creek Foundation (Non Profit). Scholorship funds may be available to families of modest income. For more information contact Mr. Fran Lunney & Mr. Kevin Pendergast at shoshonesummer@hotmail.com or call 307 527 9984
