Hello, all! I am excited to announce that Sensory Integration International (SII) is having its first annual walkathon for kids/adults with sensory integration issues! 15% of the population has disorders in sensory integration (DSI) and many also have LD, AD/HD, autism, and related issues. SII is dedicated to research and education in the area of DSI. Find out more about sensory integration at www.sensoryint.com. You can also find out if you live near one of the 17 cities where the walkathon is taking place! Even if you are far from a walk, we still would appreciate any help you might be able to give. We are seeking corporate donations to help expand the Ayres Clinic (a research center for DSI started by Dr. A. Jean Ayres, an occupational therapist and neurologist). Please feel free to contact me if you need more info about how OT, SI, or other techniques can help or if you are interested in volunteering for the walk. It's scheduled for Saturday, September 28 in the morning. Thanks for looking! My contact info is also on the SII website.
