Subject: the arts in special education
Does anyone know of some helpful websites to research how the arts are useful in special education? How can I use the arts as a universal means of communication in my inclusive classroom?

My advice to you is learn and teach some simple models of paper-folding
(origami). You can start by getting simple origami books or finding models's instructions at www.oriland.com. You students will be fascinated
just by the fact that you can turn a simple flat paper into a 3-D model
that can be a toy, an animal or anything else. Not only that, but it can
make them feel special in a positive way by showing off to their peers
at school

Thank you so much for your suggestion! I think oragami is a very fun activity and you're right, anyone would feel proud of their work.
