National organization providing information and support to individuals, families and professionals dealing with neurological communication disorders on the autism spectrum, including Nonverbal Learning Disabilities, Asperger’s Syndrome, High-Functioning Autism, Semantic-Pragmatic Disorder, Hyperlexia, and PDD-NOS.
DDR is dedicated to meeting the needs of those working with children who have developmental delays in sensory motor, language, social, and emotional areas. It publicizes research on identifiable factors that would put a child at risk and maintains a registry that tracks new trends. DDR also provides parents and professionals with a network of support and current information after a diagnosis.
The mission of the National Joint Committee on Learning Disabilities (NJCLD) is to provide multi-organizational leadership and resources to optimize outcomes for individuals with learning disabilities.
