I am a teacher specializing in working with kids with Sensory Processing problems and credentialed for LD, ED and ID. I am wondering if there is a need for a therapeutic intervention specialist in any district in the US. My hope is to help make sense of some of this “out of control” behavior that students exhibit when they are overwhelmed, overstimulated, and just plain out of sync with the rest of the class. I have had some amazing results with Sensory Integration techniques incorporated into the regular education classroom. With 1 in 20 children having sensory processing issues, it is becoming an epidemic in our schools and regular ed teachers just don’t know what to do. How could I market a plan to help these children??? Anyone looking for assistance???
