Each year my school holds a Guest Reader Day where community people come to my school to read and inspire our students. It’s a sort of Career Day in the sense that speakers share their talents and stories with our students. I work with approx. 25+ 3rd through 5th grade students (LD /ADHD) who seem to have already predetermined paths of degradation and welfare. I’m looking for successful, motivating adults (who are living/managing either or both of these disabilities) in the Pittsburgh area who might be interested in sharing some time during this wonderful day. There is no stipend, but lunch is usually out of this world as is the opportunity to have fun with students, adults and community members. Anyone interested in more info, drop me a line. Thanx.
