Hi,

Try the Kurzweill 3000 or Wynn Readers. Expensive but free 30 day demo periods. Sorry, don’t remember the websites but do a search on google.

teachers assistant…are you at university? if you are you better ask about one of those big time readers. if they do not have one ask why, in the us, they have to provide those, but i do not know of your country. if that does not work call a school for the blind, i do not live in new zealand so i do not know of one, but call a school for the blind, tell them your situation and ask them what they use. or even a high school that teaches the ld student and whatnot. you might be able to work out a deal. you could go all “old school” and scan the text into a document thingy (like ms word) and then go from there with at least highlighting the areas you need to print out, but that will not read it for you. http://www.research.att.com/~ttsweb/cgi-bin/ttsdemo this is the url for the at&t labs text to speech demo, maybe there is contact information for your area of this great planet of ours. Worth e mailing them at least.
