Classes for LD/ADHD Adults

Submitted by an LD OnLine user on

Does anyone know of courses or a school in the New York City area that provides night or weekend classes for learning disabled working adults? To help with reading, spelling, math, computers, as well as academic subjects. I work for a school that does this in the Washington, DC area, but want to refer someone who is in NYC.

I am writting from new orleans la. i was wondering how I can go about helping adult literacy programs here to be able to teach adults with a variety of learning disabilities? Being that I am an adult learner with a learning disability(adhd and bipolar) the reason is that there is hardly any of the adult literacy programs here either don’t know how to work with adults with learning disabilities or they are not equiped for that. So I want to try and help as much as possible
