discrimination at school

Submitted by an LD OnLine user on

I am a High School Teacher with learning disabilities. I was recently transferred to a new school. My new supervisor is aware I have disabilities. She seems to look for anything she can to find to write me up. She has given me 2 unsatisfactory observations. I have sought help from the union and this seems to anger my supervisor more. She has yelled at me in front of my class. My
She has lied to the principal and others saying I’ve been late getting to class when I havn’t. I have other disabilities that she is aware of. I have to meet with Her once a week and show her my lssson plans. None of the other teachers in my department are being treated this way. Where can I go for help?

Cliff,
You need to take this matter up with the school board. You were hired because someone felt you can do your job and it sounds like she thinks you can’t and trying to hurt you.Fight!

I am so angry to hear about the inappropriate and unethical way you are being treated. I agree with Jenny, this should be addressed with someone who is over the person meeting with you. Also, you have a right to request that a colleague of equal status be present with you during these meetings. There is an actual term for this policy but I cannot remember it right now.
