It is adult ADHD/Lder’s topic tonight. Not that we ever stay on topic,and what is that topic anyway? It’s not like we sit around and talk about having LD/ADHD,we talk about everything else in an LD kind of way. It would be awsome to chat with some of my friends here from this BB. Rob? AA? Ball? Nethaven is a chat community of parent of ADHD/LD children and or LD/ADHD themselves. We all are lder’s,hard to deny where our kids get it. Anyway come,would love to see you there.

I was diagnosed in third grade. As an adult i’m realizing other areas of difficulty and want to strengthen those areas. Tutors don’t seem to get what I say, they just believe it’s lack of self esteem. (yeah it plays a roll, but I’ve been around the block and been dealing with my LD for over 25 years and now an special ed teacher myself)
It has been suggested that I get retested as an adult to find out specifically where the areas are giving me difficulaty. It sounds logical, but I hate tests and don’t want to subject myself let alone my wallet wich is thin considering teachers make very little. I know that sometime you have to spend money to get accurate information, but I’m currious to find out more information as to why people need this information to help me as an adult. Yeah, I guess i’ve ansered my own question, but is there any other information validating what I’ve asking for?
