Looking for LD chat space

Submitted by an LD OnLine user on

I realize that this bulletin board is a resource. But, why aren’t there any chat spaces dedicated to those of us with LD? I mean really are we considered that invisable????

Tried to go to the site called “A CHAT ROOM FOR ADULTS AND CHILDREN WITH LEARNING DISABILITIES” and it wouldn’t load on my computer.

Not looking for wierdo kind of stuff just a place for support and more expedient reponses.

Sggested it to [email protected] any of you who are interested, if you would send him your suggestions as far as:

1) an appropriate site name/s
1a) the seperate definitions of LD in regards to chat space 1b) should the room be inclusive? (ooh this may spark some political debate Ball! Are you ready?) { :
I mean…heck should we even include non-disabled folks?
2) sugggestions for moderators
3) suggestions for, perhaps, what search engine to locate it on?
4) suggestions for any other ideas are welcomed

Suggestions are appreciated from anyone with a clue. However, the clueless (on this particular matter) can start their own thread. C :

There are lots of places where people can start up their own chat groups, but somebody has to do it. So look up chats in general and do it, and then it will exist.

Try this new web group:

http://groups.msn.com/ADDandlife/homepage

I just started it today, and I think that if we got enough people, it would be good. It is started by people with ADD and is for people with add.

another way to start an on-line discussion is to set up your own instant messenging in real time… instead of setting up a chatroom which can have alot of problems… why not just set up an instant messenger like AOL Aim or Yahoo Messenger.. before you do that, you should let those who are interested, tell them your nickname and just add on buddies to your “buddy list”… this may be a more effective way of having an on-line discussion amongst people with learning disabilities….. hope this helps you somewhat

I’m not real good on the internet but I think ther is a way to set up a chat space. I just don’t know how.

I do want to continue my crusade of enlightening the pols and harassing the OVRs into submission.

I really think I am right on the OVR thing. These people need a serious ass kicking and it is long over due.
