Hi everyone,

LD Pride Online (http://www.ldpride.net)is the website of the Vancouver Island Invisible Disability Association(VIDA). Our primary mission is to promote the social,emotional and general well-being of adults with non-visible disabilities including learning disabilities mental
illness, Attention Deficit (Hyperactivity) Disorder and other neurological disabilities.

VIDA particularly focuses on the transition of young adults with Invisible disabilities to independent living, employment, basic and higher education and to developing long term relationships and sustained friendships. We seek to accomplish these objectives through programs and services to meet these needs.

We offer a number of services and supports for those living on the Island including Information and referral, workshops Including the Learning Disabilities/ADD Acceptance Workshop, FindingYour Way - the ABC’s of learning disabilities and and attention deficit disorder and the social skills ACCESS (Adult Communication Course Enhancing Social Skills)course, a social group for young adults, Young Adults Connecting(YAC), an adult support group, Connections - our social group for adults 30 yrs+, a parent support group and conferences and education forums for adults with invisible disabilities, their family members and professionals in the field.
