I want to get a qEEG done for my ADD. I believe that the qEEG would be able to target better what specific type of ADD I have. Therefore, my treatment would be more individualized and less of this trial and error stupidity.
I just wanted to know if anyone out there felt it was beneficial getting a qEEG done for ADD. Also, too I was considering Neurofeedback as well and was wondering if it was helpful for ADD.
The reason why I want one is because I think I might be helped more if a more specific diagnosis is made by the qEEG. I have been on 36 mg of Concerta Medication for over a year. I think it did help me keep my current job but at a price. I had a tendency to stare at a certain individual at work. This caused me to lose alot of friends and caused me alot of grief. I know the Concerta made me have the tendency to stare like that and even my doctor agreed. That is why I want to get a qEEG done so I could be treated more appropriately.
I hope my thinking is correct about the qEEG. If anyone felt that the qEEG helped better target the specific type of ADD so more effective treatment was allowed, please tell me. On the other hand if the qEEG for ADD was not helpful, please tell me as well. I would appreciate any feedback.
Thanks,
