Behavior Plan

Submitted by an LD OnLine user on

I have always heard in order to have a Behavior Plan in Place you have to have some kind of Behavior Assessment done… Is a behavior plan ever done without an assessment?

Yes, sometimes they will try to do a behavior plan without a Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA). Getting an FBA is useful so that there is more understanding of the behaviors and what function they serve the student. After an FBA is done it is important to set up a Positive Behavorial Intervention Plan.
