Um… I’m applying for college and Iwas wondering if anybody knew of any scholorships or grants for students with dyslexia. Also I think I might need to be tested again, and my school district doesnt’ test for, so my parents and I are at a lost of were to look for a testing site in michigan.

I am sorry that I do not know of any scholarships specific to dylsexia. Try going to the bookstore and looking for books by Judy Blum. She has a very good series on scholarships.

Also, are you still in high school? What reasoning is the school offering for reasons not to retest you?

I am also Dyslexic. I can’t believe that I made it to college but I did. I’m there right now. I’m here right now… Sorry, still can’t belive it. I’m sure that there are some scholarships for LD students but apply for all the scholarships that your want. I got some great scholarships that really surprised me. The trick is that when you write your essays or fill out sheets always try to menchine your LD problem. Somtimes that can help you get scholarships. I know that sounds strange but it’s true.

If you live in Michigan try the Michigan Dyslexic Institute, in Lansing I believe. They can help you with testing probably. Also if you are still in school, they have to provide testing. Good Luck
