Meet Parents, Share Ideas, Learn[/b]

[b]Every third Tuesday of the month at 7:00pm at our Needham, MA center(220 Reservoir Street, Suite 6)[/b] - Coffee and Dessert provided.

CLC is pleased to announce the beginning of its outreach program offering monthly information sessions on a variety of pertinent topics to learning.

Come and enjoy a short presentation, coffee, support and conversation with other parents and teachers.

Starting on September 22, and on every subsequent third Tuesday of the month at 7:00pm, these “Discuss & Discover” sessions will be available to the public.

[b]Session 1, September 22:[/b] Dyslexia, Part 1. What is dyslexia?

[b]Session 2, October 20:[/b] Dyslexia, Part 2. Strategies and Remediation

[b]Session 3, November 17:[/b] Organizational Strategies and Executive Functioning

[b]Session 4, January 19, 2010:[/b] The IEP and 504 plans. We will discuss how to distinguish between the two and help parents understand the IEP process.

Other sessions will include Nonverbal Learning Disability, Auditory Processing Difficulty, Language Based Learning Disabilities, Understanding the tests used by Psychologists, and many more.
