Much would depend on exactly what you wanted to do — LD and remedial teaching comes under the umbrella of special ed, but obviously you could complete degree programs with relatively little real emphasis on that population. So if your criteria for choosing a program is “online courses” — check out the universities and see what’s out there, but you should also consider whether you want said degree to be more than a few letters after yoiur name. Lots of Ed. degrees have an awful lot of, for lack of a better word, BS and not much that’s really useful for teaching kids. (In fact, you should consider the shorter option of specific training — I’m biased towards things like Orton-Gillingham programs because that’s where I’ve had success with students.) When I last looked for a Master’s program I started with journal articles I”d found useful and looked up the authors’ names and where they were from. It was pretty awesome to be able to do all that from my living room via the internet, including e-mailing said professors :-)

Does anybody know of a web - site (any college, non profitorganization) which has a link to FREE on line learning. A site that features video presentation’s is preferable. As an ADHD adult, it is much easirer to concentrate when watching a video, than reading text from a page. I would prefer computer and Internet related material. (I already know about service911.com) I am looking for something more substantial than a one - two minute blurb. If anyone knows of any computer repair courses on line that I can access for free, I would be especially interested. I know that I am not the only one who could benifit from this. There are probably thousands of adults in the same position that I’m in.
