I know the law that any child over the age of fourteen has the right to attend all iep meetings and has access to their records. However what are the laws concerning an outplacement hearing. Are they the same or different?
An outplacement child is placed privately, but its payed for the public school. The hearing come into play because the parents and the school are in disagreement has to best for the child, more so just over money. What is the age a child is allowed to attend the whole hearing? This child is very cognitively capable and 16, but I still don’t want her to sit through the hearing.
