Understanding Your ASD or LD Diagnosis Event in Long Beach

[b]March 12 - Long Beach, California[/b] - A special free lecture addressing the importance of understanding and accepting an Asperger’s, Autism or Learning Difference diagnosis. This event is hosted by the College Internship Program (CIP) Long Beach and presented in part by professional guest speakers.

[i]Speakers Include:[/i]

[b]Michael McManmon, Ed.D.[/b] - Dr. McManmon is the Founder of the College Internship Program (CIP), which serves college-aged students with Learning Differences and Asperger’s syndrome in six centers across the US. He has been a special educator for 39 years, is a licensed psychologist, blog author for Psychology Today and author of the book, “Made for Good Purpose”. Dr. McManmon has a unique inside perspective as he is diagnosed with Asperger’s.

[b]Alex Plank[/b] - Alex runs, owns, and develops WrongPlanet.net, a popular community for individuals with Asperger’s syndrome and Autism which he started in his teen years after being diagnosed at the age of 9. He graduated from George Mason University with a degree in Film and Video Studies.

[b](7:00pm- 8:30pm) Lecture Series[/b] - The CIP Autism & LD Professional Lecture Series takes place all across the US and offers free insight and education to parents, students, and professionals working with transition age young adults.
