I’ve been attempting to educate myself about C.A.P.D.—Central Auditory Processing Disorder. I’d like to have my child assessed. Even though I can find quite a bit of information on the web regarding C.A.P.D., I’m having trouble finding a local testing resource (Orlando, FL). Can anyone help?

I emailed you the page from that website that lists CAPD audiologists in Florida. The bottom three are in or near Orlando.

Go to http://pages.cthome.net/cbristol/, click on “Auditory Processing Links”, scroll down to near the bottom of the page, and click on “Audiologists Who Test for CAPD”. It’s a search engine by geographic area, so you should get a list of specialists that way. If you have a choice, an audiologist associated with a major university medical center is sometimes the best.
