a different way of seeing things

Submitted by an LD OnLine user on

Sometimes we forget that not everybody shares the same
perspective. Much of how we see others is based upon our
own understanding of reality. But “normal” can be a
relative term (I am not talking about altered states such as
psychosis where true distortions exist).

A very good friend of mine who is a survivor of systematic
abuse once told me that normal is only a setting on her
drier.

So if you’ve a few minutes to spare, step outside of your
own version of the world, and look for just a short time
through the eyes of an Aspie.
