Has anyone had any experience with The Drake Institute in the Los Angeles area. From what I understand, they deal the a non-medication approach to ADD. Our 6 year old has been diagnosed with ADD and CAPE. Any imput wouild be appreciated.

PASSWORD>aaRgLUv0BRb4sI have had friends whose adult children went through Drake, they weren’t 6 year old kids. The cost was close to $4K their behaviors changed but with the older son who was about 25 when he did it has slipped back into his old ADD-Inattentive ways. We are seriously considering about doing it for our ADD-Inattentive son who is 15 years old. He does fine on medication but he doesn’t want to be on meds the rest of his life..so he would like to try Drake. The only thing holding us back is the cost right now..you may want to check out the UC Irvine center for child studies. They do many different studies about ADD and kids.. That may be more age appropriate for your son and they work with kids up to age 12.
