Got to hear Dr. Levine talk at a book signing!

I am just really exicted becuase today I went to a small book signing for Dr. Levine. He spoke for an hour on his book, views and then took questions. I just felt so inspired and hopeful after listening to him talk. I took my six year old son with me and it was actually a really good idea becuase he actually said some things that my son understood and it opened up a great conversation on the way home

Now I am on a mission to get my son to North Carolina to see him and to attend his lecture this fall at a college about 2 hours away!!

Just had to shout a little, it was a good day!!

Super, K.! I’ll bet Dr. Levine will be one busy fellow after his national publicity! You know, your brother would benefit from his eval, too. Might help boost his self-esteem to hear his strengths emphasized. I have his book…just have to find the time to finish it!

Someone on the GT-Special list went to his clinic but did not see Dr. Levine but someone else. The visit was worthless. The person blamed the child’s not writing on the child himself, if I remember correctly.

I could have screamed becuase the man in front of me said “My son will be coming to see you sooner or later” and Dr. Levine replied “Really, when you call make sure you ask for my personally” The man said “Could you give me a number to call to make sure I get you” and HE DID!! I guess I should have asked also but I would have felt like I was mooching.

I know if you call the clinic you can request Dr. Levine personally, you just have to wait 10 or 11 months!!

He is coming in October or September, so I am going to take my brother to that. He really said a lot of things that I think my brother would understand!

That is too bad! I guess I would only go if I was guaranteed to see Dr. Levine. We live in Massachusetts, so it would be a hike, worth it, but a hike!

I imagine that was one unhappy parent!
