How to Improve Reading Comprehension

Some students who have LDs have difficulty understanding stories that they read. Their challenge can come from a number of different areas including difficulty with sounding out words (phonemic awareness), trouble focussing on the text and struggling to remember what they read, to name a few.

One active learning strategy that can help is SPORE.
