Interpreting Scan-C test

Submitted by an LD OnLine user on

My dd’s SLP did a Scan-C and gave me copies of it. She did not standardize the score, but only reported raw scores. Does anyone know how to do this? We do have an appt with an Audiologist for further testing. I’d really like to know what her standard score was. Thanks.

I can’t answer about the Scan-C. However, I wanted to mention that a regular audiologist does not test for auditory processing disorders. If your audiologist does not specialize in CAPD, you may be wasting your time.

You can find a list of CAPD audiologists in your state at http://pages.cthome.net/cbristol/capd-rf1.html

I am hoping that we are headed the right direction. My daughter is scheduled to see an audiologist at Dallas Childrens Medical Center. They list on their website that they test for CAPD and it is also listed on the website you gave me. Thanks for the tip!
