intro and question...

Submitted by an LD OnLine user on

Hello,
I am Wendy, I am the caregiver and sister to two special needs boys. Nick is 11 and autistic. he is verbal and a runner. He has run about 184 miles at school. Jon is 13 and going into 8th grade. He has ADD and Dysgraphia. He loves video games and riding his bike.
My question is concerning Jon and his upcoming iep. On his current Iep, it states that he is only to be graded on work that he completes. He is to have modified homework in math and english. And that he can take tests in the study skills class.
so far, he has not taken any tests outside of that subjects classroom, I guess that he doesn’t want to be the odd man out. We had to sit down with his math and science teachers to tell them that he should have modified homework. And his grades suck because he is not being graded on what he completes he is being graded on what he completes compaired to what the class completes. Now for the question.. what should I ask for at the next iep which is in 4 days? I am lost on this… please help. thank you.
