ld schools in the south
Does anyone have any experience with ld schools in the Atlanta area?
There are quite a few, depending on the needs and strength of your child. St. Francis in Roswell is a college-prep school that provides smaller class size and a lot of structure. The Howard School in Roswell and Atlanta provides a good individualized program. The Cottage School provides a really good education with a more vocational focus at the high school level. Also north of Atlanta are Chrysalis School, Eaton Academy, and Mill Springs Academy, all of which work well with children with special needs. In the area south of Atlanta, Woodward Academy is a traditional private school provides support for LD students. Additionally, many of the Christian schools, although they do not specifically target LD students, do a good job of working with them.
If you do an internet search on private schools in the Atlanta area, I’m sure you’ll find others. This is just what I recall at five in the morning!
