Hello, I have a son in 7th grade using the Read 180 program. His scores in lexile are putting him at a 1st grade level! He is reading 1st grade Scholastic Reading Counts books. It’s his first year of Middle school, but when he was in Elementary he was getting reading work that was 6 months below grade level.
I didn’t feel like he was “getting it”. His Vocab, and fluency is just about average, but his comprehension scores are very low. I need help to figure this out! There must be something that I can do to help comprehension besides Read 180. Does anyone have suggestion?
