My 10 yr.old son was at one time diagnoized adhd this year Dr.Fields diagnoized my son as having no short term memory. there are no meds. for this
rare condition. I need to find some kind of grant that will help me get him a

Good luck in finding a source for the pen; if your child is eligible for special education, I would recommend that you have an assessment done to see just what technology would best meet his needs. If he’s in public school, and the school is abiding by the law, they will provide what he needs.
There is free computer software that will read text that’s on the screen; there is also software that will scan books (and then the text is on the screen and can be read by the screen reading software). THe software does a much better job than the pen does as far as reading passages instead of single words, and since your son has no short term memory the one-word-at-a-time issue would be a big problem.
