At the risk of sounding like Ball I did see Dr. Phil and I am thinking perhaps Ball and Dr. Phil are the same person.

Ball was right. The over-medicating of our Children is truly appalling. Unlike Ball I do not fault parents but I do fault the school system and the medical profession for the over-medicating of children.

I would say that Dr Phil proved to me that strong parenting is the answer for ADHD in most cases. I was also impresed with his expert and the nutritional advice given.

I havee seen many children with the ADHD dx and invaiably they behave much beter for male than females and this was the case with Dr. Phil’s guests.

I trust Dr. Phill and his staff of experts more than I do the schools and the drug companies.

I was horrorfied to heard about the dad whos son was taken from him because of his refusal to medicate. The government should not be allowed to decide who medicate our children that should be left up to doctorss.

Overall I would say the medicating of children is barbaric.

Parent seem too lazy and too self absorbed to make the effort needed to raise a challenging child. Theyseem to always be looking for the easy way out. Then there are others who are just lied to by doctors and teachers..

I thought that dr was a quack. Come on….figuring out which foods are good and bad by holding them and testing grip? That is rubbish.

I DO medicate my child not because of behavior but because she truly cannot focus in class. She can tell the difference and wants to take the medication so that she can do the work. It is the difference between failing and passing—not between A and B work. She is not on the meds on the weekends, holidays or summers. There is a time and a place for meds.

I can agree with you that alot of behavior problems stem from poor parenting skills. I wish he had addressed focus issues. Not all children with ADD have hyperactivity/behavior issues.
