Re: It worked for us

Hi Shari, Thank you for your posting. Our daughter also has slight ADD and is not on any medication. Like you we have tried a number of enrichments to strengthen all of our daughter’s input senses. For example, she completed Fast Forward during the Summer of 2000 and her post-testing assessment indicated tremendous progress with regard to central processing deficits (she is now either average or 1 or 2 standard deviations above average on all the assessments). The results were so positive that shethen completed Step4Forward between Nov. 2000 and Jan 2001. Post testing showed additional progress in the cognitive assessmens. We did not do any additional assessment with her central processing weaknesses.Emma’s current teacher has noticed, along with others, issues with large motor skills and therefore our interest in the Interactive Metronome. We watched the pre-testing and it was obvious to us that Emma’s internal beat clock is out of sequence. We know that this is not a silver bullet. Our goal is to strengthen all of her input senses prior to participating in the Wilson reading method.Emma has also completed a vision therapy program. It is good to hear of other children who have made progress with metronome.
